Hello and welcome to a little experiment I like to call ‘can I actually write and maintain a decent blog without leaving it six months between each post?”

Thank you for joining me.

As a bit of background, I’ve been following a somewhat paleolithic diet for nearly a year now and have embraced other important lifestyle changes such as working less, playing more, stressing less and exercising differently. I’ve experimented with Paleo, Primal, AIP (Autoimmune Protocol Paleo), LCHF (Low Carb High Fat),and Ketogenic diets and I’ve tried to use everything I’ve learned from my experiences so far to run my own n=1 experiment and find out what works best for me.

I have an autoimmune condition called Interstitial Cystitis (IC), which flares mostly when I’m stressed (or eat milk chocolate) and can be very painful. This condition was the inspiration for changing my priorities in life, and even though I sometimes find myself picking up bad habits again, the IC gives me an early warning that I need to slow down or I’ll be in for a painful few weeks!

I’ll mostly be writing about the things in my life that help me live with the primal blueprint in mind. If you haven’t come across the Primal Blueprint already, please go and read a much better blog than this one, but here’s the lowdown on the laws…

  1. Eat lots of animals, insects and plants
  2. Move around a lot at a slow pace
  3. Lift heavy things
  4. Run really fast every once in a while
  5. Get lots of sleep
  6. Play
  7. Get some sunlight every day
  8. Avoid trauma
  9. Avoid poisonous things
  10. Use your mind

Thanks again for dropping by. I hope you enjoy your stay.
