This weekend I get to do the part of my job I love the most. I get to run a high impact event for aspiring entrepreneurs, developers and designers to spend 54 hours solving problems they see in the world.
It’s AWESOME. I love the energy, the creativity, the atmosphere. And it’s an environment that is very motivating. It’s high impact, it’s chaotic, and it can also be stressful at times. But the difference you’re making to people’s lives through running these events makes it all worth it.
Throughout this journey on AIP, a big part of it has been the management of my stress and getting enough sleep to heal. Getting enough sleep to heal is not typically possible at events like this. But I’ve made the decision to not really worry about that too much. Instead, I intend to embrace what comes this weekend, soak up the energy and positivity and go with the flow.
Despite the late nights, long hours and crazy conflict resolution we have to manage, there’s so much socialisation, throwing great ideas around and exercising your brain as well. All in all, I think these events do me more good than bad. And in a life that is so full of rules right now, it’s great to have a break and have some chaos to take my mind off it all.
My blog posts will be short over the next couple of days as I’ll be running around like a crazy person running this event, but I’ll keep checking in. Bear with me and I’ll be back up to form with the writing come Monday.

Woke up with 0 – starting to get a bit of discomfort now, but not much. Could tomorrow be my first pain free day? Here’s hoping!
